Pianist, Vocalist, Composer & Educator



Camilla Vaitaitis is an award winning pianist, vocalist, arranger and composer based in Denver, CO. She graduated from the Lamont School of Music at the University of Denver in 2016 with a Bachelor’s degree in Jazz Studies & Commercial Music and received a Master's degree in Jazz Composition also from Lamont in 2020. 


She plays regularly in several different groups, including her indie rock bands Specific Ocean and Barbara and her original jazz project, the Camilla Vaitaitis Quartet. Camilla dedicates time not only to performing, teaching, and accompanying throughout Denver, but also to composing and arranging pieces for a variety of groups, including vocal jazz ensembles and big bands.

In addition to actively performing around Denver, Camilla works as a program assistant with CCJA and is the host of the weekly interview and masterclass series "CCJA Sundays" through which she has had the privilege of interviewing musicians including Maria Schneider, Bill Frisell, Tim Lefebvre, and Melissa Aldana.


Camilla has several recording projects in the works to be released in the near future. Her quartet will record an album of original music this fall, Specific Ocean will be releasing two new singles in July, and Barbara's debut album "Escape Artist" comes out in September, 2022.
